Build2Survive Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Build2Survive is a mobile game published by Canticle, LLC (“we”, “us”), which appears on Google Play as Discosloth, through its game studio Misplaced Capital. This policy explains what the game collects, why, and the choices you have. Contact us any time at dev@discosloth.com.
The short version
- There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or contacts.
- The game gives itself a random player ID so the leaderboard can tell your runs apart. Your callsign is whatever you type.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob, uses Google Analytics for Firebase to see how the game is played, and uses Sentry to receive crash reports.
- We do not sell your personal information.
What the game collects
| What | Why | Who handles it |
|---|---|---|
| Leaderboard entries: your random player ID, your callsign, the results of runs you finish (waves held, time, kills and similar game statistics) and a small picture of your base layout. | To show the Endless and Daily Seed leaderboards. | Our own server, hosted by DigitalOcean in Toronto, Canada. |
| Game analytics: events such as starting a run, waves reached and levels cleared; device model, operating system, app version, an app-instance identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the advertising ID where permitted. | To understand how the game is played and improve it, and to measure our advertising campaigns. | Google (Google Analytics for Firebase). |
| Advertising: the advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and your ad-consent choices. | To show ads that pay for the game. Ads are personalised only where you have agreed to it, or where the law does not require consent. | Google (AdMob) and its advertising partners. |
| Crash reports: technical details of an error, device model, operating system and app version. No player ID or IP address is attached by us. | To find and fix bugs. | Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), United States. |
| Purchases: if you buy the Supporter pack, a receipt and an anonymous customer ID. We never see your payment details. | To unlock the purchase and restore it on a new device. | Google Play or the App Store, and RevenueCat, Inc. |
Your progress, bests and settings are saved only on your device.
Legal bases (EEA and UK players)
We process leaderboard entries and crash reports because it is necessary to provide the game and in our legitimate interest in keeping it working. Personalised advertising and analytics that use the advertising ID rely on your consent, which you give or refuse in the consent form shown when the game starts.
Your choices
- Ad and analytics consent: change your choice at any time with Privacy options in the game's menu.
- Advertising ID: reset it or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
- Leaderboard: to have your entries removed, email us your callsign and, if you can, the date of a run.
- Remove everything on your device: uninstall the game.
How long we keep it
Leaderboard entries are kept for as long as the leaderboard exists or until you ask us to remove them. Server backups are deleted after 14 days. Analytics data is kept for 14 months and crash reports for 90 days.
Where it is stored
Our server is in Canada, which the European Commission recognises as providing adequate protection. Google, Sentry and RevenueCat may process data in the United States and elsewhere under their own safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EEA, the UK and US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Email us to use any of these rights; we will answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
We do not sell personal information. Showing personalised ads may count as “sharing” under some US state laws; you can opt out through Privacy options in the game or your device's ad settings.
Children
Build2Survive is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Ads in the game are limited to content suitable for general audiences. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the game's store listing.
